Cleaning frenzy!

So it must be the nesting period of pregnancy for me because I went crazy cleaning one weekend. We were trying to clean out the room Blake uses as an office so we can have some room for the baby things, but before I knew it I was cleaning out more than just that room! It went to our bedroom, to our bathroom, to our kitchen, to our living room area, and then to all our closets. Man it was a huge project! We ended up taking 2 car loads to Good Will, and several more to the garbage. We laugh because when it comes to keeping and collecting old things I am the type that just gets rid of it, if I have not used it and never think I will. Blake on the other had is a little pack rat and can't let go of anything old and memorable. So we have to compromise and only get rid of a few things at a time. We even still had wedding presents that had never been opened that we have lugged around for 2 and a half years! So I decided it all needed to be sorted through and given away if we were not going to use it in the next 5 years. So it was operation clean out of the whole apartment that took 2 whole days and a lot of work. When I woke up on Sunday (finally a day of rest!) I could barely move because every part of my body hurt! I think I over did it just a little but I am so very glad now because I won't have to do it later. I now can start putting all the cute baby things away and get a crib! Ya! Only 3 months to go!

Baby shower

My friends threw me a baby shower during Christmas break and it was fabulous. They gave me their favorite childhood book along with cute outfits. It was so much fun! I can't wait to dress my little girl up and read her books like "love you forever'! I realize in these pictures that I am beginning to actually look pregnant and not just chubby! What a relief!

Sledding over New Years

Blake's aunt has a cabin up near Oakley Utah and we love going up there cuz we get to snowmobile and sled! I was advised by my doctor not to do anything crazy so I had to pass on sledding dang! But i was able to take some good pictures.

Christmas

So I finally got around to loading all my Christmas pictures to share with you! It only took over a month! Christmas was so nice this year especially getting over two weeks off of both work and school. We were able to go back to Utah for the holidays and spend time with family and friends and it was so fun. We both come from big families and so it was crazy all the time and I loved it!

A couple weeks before Christmas we had an ultrasound and found out that we are going to have a little girl! We got cute little ornaments to give to our parents and grandparents to open for Christmas and it was to see everyone's reaction to the news. We have already gotten some cute girlie stuff for Christmas and I can't wait to set up the nursery! Blake rolls his eyes at me and says that we can wait a couple more months to do that!

My 22nd Birthday

For my birthday we had some friends over to celebrate the night before and Blake was excited to make me a cake and even made the frosting from scratch (it really was delicious!). He even decorated and blew up some balloons! It was a lot of fun.

Luckily I didn't have to go to work on my birthday so I got to sleep in which was nice. And when Blake came home he surprised me with flowers! What a sweet husband i have!

The Lion King

The Lion King Broadway show came to Spokane this month and Blake being the sweet husband that he is got us tickets for my birthday. I was so excited to see it because I have heard that it is amazing. But man I have to say that it was more than amazing, it was incredible! The costumes were ridiculously awesome and the actors all had amazing voices. The lady who played Rafiki was my favorite. She would speak this African clicking language that was fun to listen to and she had the best voice. The actors all sounded like the movie characters too. I just was in awe! It was so much fun, thanks Blake for a fabulous birthday present!

Holiday Updates

Sorry that it has been a long time since I have posted. This past month has been crazy! Here are some Halloween pictures of our fabulous pumpkins. I unfortunately do not inherit the Morgan genes of picture taking so i didn't get any pictures of us dressed up for Halloween. We decided to take the easy route and used Blake's old baseball stuff and dressed up as baseball players. Our friends Jake and Trisha had a super fun Halloween party that involved fabulous food and fun games. Blake even got brave and did bobbing for apples. It was way fun but I feel bad that I didn't take any pictures! Sorry! Then for Thanksgiving we went had it at another student's house with 5 other couples and the food was great. I was in charge of the sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie(I even made the pie crust from scratch!) which everyone said turned out to be good (hopefully they were not lying!). It was hard being away from family but it's nice to know that we have good friends here!

This year I decided to try Capt'n Crunch

Blake's Darth Vador

I do have to say they look pretty amazing!

I'm Pregnant!

So if you haven't heard the big news Blake and I are expecting! We went into the doctor's on Friday October 9th and found out that I am due May 10th. We are so super excited! It is right in middle of Blake's finals so it's not perfect timing but what can you do? The nice thing is that if Blake gets a summer internship in Utah again this summer we will be able to spend that time with family and friends at home. We don't have any feelings on what it will be but would like to know what you think. Boy, or girl?!? Let us know!

Ione Train Ride

Well my mom and sister came to Spokane over conference weekend which was so fun. I had heard about this cool train ride that takes you through the country side so you can see the fall colors. So we called and got tickets and then looked up to see where it was and found out it was 2 hours away! Ha ha! But we decided to go anyway and it turned out to be pretty funny. It is was a 90 min train ride that ended at metaline falls which we thought was a waterfall but turned out to be this tiny town. Ha ha! It was a good one time experience.
